School Head’s message

On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is my honour and privilege to welcome you to King Abdulaziz School (KAS). At KAS our mission is to develop lifelong learners who engage in meaningful learning experiences that build compassion, resilience and understanding of their role in our ever- changing global community.

Our vision, as an International Baccalaureate Candidate School, is to inspire the individual potential of all students and enable them to become principled, proficient, inquiring, and caring lifelong learners.

KAS is an environment we are confident will foster each child’s development and ensure they move closer to fulfilling their potential, while establishing a love of learning and aspiration to succeed.

Because we are a learning community, KAS teachers deeply understand that teaching and learning are at the heart of all we do.  Using research-based teaching methods, our faculty works hard to model the lifelong learning that we wish for our students. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”  Here at KAS, we are dedicated to preparing our students for just that.

I have a great interest in academics; an interest I share with my colleagues at KAS. I am very fortunate to work with an incredibly dedicated team of teachers whose focus is on ensuing your child’s best interests are met. Their goal in working with our students is to ensure they leave school each day happy, proud of who they are and what they have achieved.

I am very aware of the challenges and concerns students and parents face during the different stages of the schooling years. As such, I recognise the importance of the partnership between home and school and am committed to ensuring this partnership is nurtured.

I believe strongly, that in the right environment, where students are respected and encouraged, they are capable of extraordinary achievements. I look forward to celebrating such achievements at KAS as our students develop as young leaders, engaging in academics, creativity, action and service opportunities throughout the rest of the school year.
