About Me-PYP Coordinator
My name is Raheela Akram and I am here at KAS performing the role of IB-PYP Coordinator since 2016. My nationality is Pakistani with MSc. Psychology from Queen Mary College Lahore. I received the training on Educational Leadership under the project called Pakistan Educational Leadership Institute (PELI) from Plymouth state University, USA in 2010.
My professional journey started in September 2007 with a school for under-privileged community where I used to teach psychology to Higher Secondary School students. I worked as a Manager assessment and learning in a non-profit organization called Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi for almost 4 years. I joined the Sanjan Nagar School- 1st IB PYP world school in Punjab, Pakistan as school Principal since 2011. It was a challenging role but full of excitement, exposure and hands on learning experience.
I attended many IB official workshops directly from IBO, regional, In-school and online modes. I visited India, USA, Singapore, Bahrain for training and exchange programs. Personally, I love travelling, net surfing, reading, socializing and joining groups who have spark in life and ready to make a difference!
It is always a pleasure to join with students, teachers, and parents; together we can make a difference. If you have an idea or a question, please stop by to see me.
